Concert in the Egg

On May 20, 2021, the Netherlands Chamber Orchestra played Kox and Mozart in a concert that could be heard online. 
The Netherlands Chamber Orchestra gave the Hans Kox Foundation permission to play The Concert in the Egg on our website. 

Musical director Gordan Nikolić leads his Netherlands Chamber Orchestra in playing this historic jubilee work by Hans Kox. Gordan Nikolić has been the inspired leader of the Netherlands Chamber Orchestra for seventeen years. His first season was immediately an anniversary for the orchestra, which then existed for fifty years. For that occasion, Hans Kox composed The concert in the egg. The piece is inspired by a 16th-century painting in the style of Hieronymus Bosch, in which a group of musicians are happily playing in an egg.
